Jason completed his Bachelor of Applied Science in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University in 2004, where he also earned a Certificate in Health and Fitness Studies. During his time at SFU, he completed two additional years of co-operative education in Kinesiology, gaining extensive hands-on experience in active rehabilitation, ergonomics, and health and fitness. He has been a practicing member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK) since 2005.
After graduating, Jason was drawn to further studies that offered a more holistic and hands-on approach to health. Having grown up in Taiwan, he was familiar with the widespread use of Chinese medicine and acupuncture, and was inspired by its emphasis on balance and whole-person healing. Having personally experienced the benefits of acupuncture while recovering from sports injuries, he developed a deep appreciation for its effectiveness. Recognizing the powerful synergy between Eastern holistic therapy and Western evidence-based movement science, Jason pursued a three-year program in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at the Central College of Chinese Medicine.
For over 17 years, Jason has been integrating Acupuncture and Kinesiology in his clinical practice. His unique approach combines the ancient wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern exercise and rehabilitation science. Rather than believing one form of treatment is superior, Jason emphasizes a personalized and integrated approach tailored to each patient’s individual needs.
Jason is also the recipient of Platinum Awards for Best Acupuncture Service for three consecutive years, as voted by his local community—an acknowledgment of his dedication, care, and excellence in patient outcomes.
In his treatments, Jason incorporates modalities such as cupping, electroacupuncture, gua sha (fascial release), and tuina (manual therapy) to optimize recovery and restore balance. He also provides education on posture, muscle balance, and corrective exercises, empowering patients to take an active role in their own healing.
Jason provides effective treatments for a wide range of conditions, including:
Motor vehicle accident recovery, such as whiplash-associated disorders, headaches, low back pain, and sciatica
Musculoskeletal injuries, including sprains and strains, tennis elbow, shoulder impingement, and bursitis
Stress and anxiety management
Women’s health, including fertility support and menstrual regulation
Pain management for chronic pain, arthritis, and neuropathy
Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending time outdoors with his family. He has a strong passion for motorcycling, fishing, and the outdoors. He regularly volunteers with his local church and community. You’ll often find him out on his motorcycle, hiking, paddleboarding, or relaxing by the water with a fishing rod in hand.
